コンピューターのオーディオ・プレイヤーを使うと、様々なアルバムから、モンクの曲だけを取り出して聴くことができますが、手持ちのディスクとほとんどかぶっていなかった。
ただ、ここにある元のアルバムはモンクの曲集ではありません。
アルバムの中で、モンクの曲にどれほどエネルギーを使っているかを判断するには、演奏時間が一つの目安になりますが、曲目リストを見ることも必要です。ジャズスタンダードと呼ばれる曲と同列に、軽く演奏しているものは聴く必要は無いでしょう。ラウンドミッドナイトがその傾向にあります。
