やっと手にれることができたモンク死去前の集まり。CD4枚組、巨人達の集まり。D・ガレスビーがいないジャイアンツ・オブ・ジャズ？。それぞれの思いのつまった演奏。ラウンド・ミッドナイトで進軍ラッパを吹いたようなふざけた演奏はない。

いつも思うのだが、S・ロリンズが参加すれば良いのにと。
